Creative Asset Development for Brock University’s Human Rights & Equity Office | Co-Student Programming Lead Developed a thematic framework for BHM/AHM 2025 centered on the Adinkra Sankofa symbol, the Scarborough Charter, and Audre Lorde’s vision of intersectionality. Conducted research to align cultural symbolism with institutional commitments to equity, decolonization, and anti-Black racism. Proposed initiatives included: 1. Visual identity integrating Sankofa to symbolize reflection on history for future transformation. 2. Programming & events exploring intersectionality, historical lessons, and systemic change. 3. Collaborative messaging connecting historical awareness with institutional accountability and Black excellence. This approach deepened the month’s cultural resonance while reinforcing Brock’s commitment to inclusive, historically informed action.
